C. Charles Hartigan

Charles is the founding partner of Hartigan & Hartigan. Born in Pisgah, Alabama, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama, and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law.Delanie

Charles is a member of the Tuscaloosa County (President, 1983-1984) and American Bar Associations, Alabama State Bar, Tuscaloosa Trial Lawyers Association (President, 1984-1985), Alabama Trial Lawyers Association (Member, Executive Committee, 1978; President, 1989-1990), and The Association of Trial Lawyers of America (Member, State Delegate, Board of Governors, 1990-1991). He has also been an instructor of Legal Studies at the University of Alabama, was listed in Who’s Who in American Law, was the Master Bencher for the American Inns of Court, and was selected as One of The Best Lawyers in America, 1995-1996 Publication.

From 1971-1973, Charles served as the city prosecutor for the city of Tuscaloosa and from 1973-1977 he was the Public Safety Commissioner for the city of Tuscaloosa. Charles is a Board Certified Trial Advocate by the
National Board of Trial Advocacy and a member of the American Trial Lawyers College of Trial Advocacy (Faculty Member, 1990-1996). Charles is admitted to all state and federal courts in Alabama, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court..
